Easiest way to test if your connection is working is to Log into your game character then, Alt-Tab and Disable lower-ping you should get Disconnected.

The Lower ping Launcher is compatible with most Antivirus/Firewall/Spyware programs.
And work's fine with the standard lowerping installer on over 95% of setups.

Alot of times the simple fix for No Ping Change:
Uninstall Lowerping ---> Install Lowerping --> then restart computer.


If you have a program such as Proxy-cap or Proxifier or Widecap installed. (There are some others also)
When using Lowerping you will notice your Ping does not Change.

The fix for this: Uninstall Lowerping ---> Install Lowerping --> restart computer.


Other Times it can be Security Software popup's that can interrupt the Install. Although most do work fine with the Installer.

SpywareDoctor+Antivirus's Behavior-Guard module.
If Behavior-Guard is active when installing. You will not get any Ping change.

Fix for this: Disable Behavior Guard -- Install lowerping then Enable Behavior Guard.

Trend Micro Internet Security: Unauthorized module.
Fix for this: When you install or uninstall lowerping. Under --> Virus/Spyware Controll Click Prevent Unauthorized Changes to OFF.
Switch it to ON after you have finished.

Norton 360 Sonar Module
You may need to change LP.exe to the allow list for Norton Sonar.


If you fail the disconnect test and no ping change and you get popups during the Install from your 3rd party Firewalls.
Try Temporarily disabling that software before re-installing lower-ping.


In the case of a Driver conflict none of the above will get it working.

You can use Freecap which is Free alternate. Sticky in this forum.

I log in succefully on lowerping.

The what?

I simply execute the wow.exe on the wow directory?

Cause if so nothing is happening. When i desably lowerping i dont get disconnected.. that means im not using lowerping.

What im doing wrong?

please tell me what LP.exe and lp.dll do after installed.. Coz it keeps running even lowerping is not started and keep going online. lowerping works fine sometimes when i block LP.exe from my firewall. should i put those in my firewall allow list?

the lp.dll is located window/system32/lp.dll

It is normal for the LP service to be running. It is not connecting to the Net it is Local only. The Game Re-direction won't happen until you click connect or Select your game from that drop-down menu.

You can disable the LP service but you then need to Enable it again before using LP.
